Ghana have been drawn in Group C of the 2021 U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) to be staged in Mauritania.
The tournament will be played between February 14 and March 4, 2021.
Two cities – Nouakchott and Nouadhibou – will be used to host the tournament.
Nouakchott will host two groups at Stade Olympique and Stade Cheikha Ould Boïdiya while matches in Nouadhibou will be played at Stade Municipal de Nouadhibou.
The Black Satellites – three times winners – in Monday’s draw conducted at Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé, were pitted alongside former champions Morocco, Gambia and Tanzania.
Coach Karim Zito’s side will kick off their campaign against Tanzania on February 16 before taking on Morocco and The Gambia on the 19th and 22nd respectively.
Hosts Mauritania are in Group A where they will face former champions Cameroon, Uganda and Mozambique.
Burkina Faso will play Tunisia, Namibia and Central African Republic in Group B.
This is the first time the U-20 Afcon has been expanded to 12 teams instead of the eight in previous tournaments.
Mauritania will play the opening match of the 12-team competition against Cameroon in Nouakchott on February 14.
