I am not the right person to be CEO of Asante Kotoko – Kojo Addae-Mensah

Chief Executive Officer of the Databank Group, Kojo Addae-Mensah has ruled out himself from the vacant Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer position.

According to the staunch Asante Kotoko fan, he is not the right person currently to lead the Porcupine Warriors.

The Reds are on the hunt for a new CEO after the George Amoakoh led management team was dissolved a few weeks ago.

The nine-member board of directors are reported to have shortlisted three people which included Kojo Addae-Mensah.

But Addae-Mensah – a former columnist of Kotoko Express Newspaper – has distanced himself from the CEO role.

“You just can’t pick anybody to be the CEO of a club. Football is different. I don’t think at this time the way football is, I am not sure I’m the right person to be CEO of Asante Kotoko,” Addae-Mensah said on Accra-based Happy FM.

Snippets of information gathered indicate that the Board is has settled with Nana Yaw Amponsah and are waiting for the Manhyia Palace three-member Committee to submit their report to the Asantehene before they can make an official announcement.
