Women’s League: We are all revved up for the challenge ahead – Police Ladies trainer Oswald Sam
2 min read
Oswald Sam prefaced this weekend’s fixture against Thunder Queens FC by saying Police Ladies can win the league.
In an interview with Amy Fynn-Thompson as monitored by sikafotos.com, the gaffer was highly confident his team had the needed wherewithal to best their competitors and clinch the title.
‘Yeah looking at the upcoming league which is the Women’s Premier League, when we talk of preparations we’re fully prepared mentally, physically, psychologically we’re fully prepared…tactically and technically we’re fully prepared for the upcoming league.” He quipped
Coach Oswald on what Police Ladies FC fans should expect;
“At the moment, I don’t know much about our opponents but you know if you’re fully prepared you are not afraid of any team that you that you play against, so we’re ready for any team and we’re going to lolk at a game at a time.”
Coach Oswald on their target for the season;
“We will look at the first round then we’ll decide but none of the teams will say that I’m going to be last or last but one, all the teams will think of winning the ultimate so now I just don’t want to be more complacent or overly confident. I just want to look at the first 3, 4 matches, or even the first round to determine the target but the players are poised to get the ultimate and that’s what we’ve prepared for, so if all things being equal we’ve to win the ultimate. We are all revved up for the challenge ahead.”
His thought on the CAF Women’s Champions League as a reason to motivate his players to win the league;
“That’s why I’m saying that we’re prepared fully for the upcoming women’s league and if we go short somewhere that’s where other teams can overtake so we need to keep our composure.”
