"We've three goals against Kotoko on Saturday" - Accra Lions Team Manager

Team Manager for Ghana Premier League debutants, Accra Lions FC, Ismail Hamidu is highly optimistic that his outfit will win against Asante Kotoko on Saturday.

The Porcupines will host the Accra-based club at the Baba Yara Sports stadium tomorrow afternoon on matchweek 17 clash.

Accra Lions have won once in their last five games and will look to cause an upset against the Reds when both clubs meet.

Kotoko and Lions  are currently 1st and 14th on the league log respectively after 16 matches with the Porcupines having a game in hand against arch rivals, Hearts of Oak.

Buoyed by their win against Medeama last weekend, the newcomers are confident of upsetting the Porcupines.

“We will cause a very big upset at Baba Yara Sports Stadium tomorrow, it’s not a draw or a lose for us, we are winning the game hands down,” Team Manager Ismail Hamidu said in an interview with Kumasi-based Ashh FM.

“We are coming to surprise Asante Kotoko. The Cameroonian players [Mfegue, Etouga],Ghana’s Sadio mane are all ordinary players like those playing in Division One, they recruited most of their players from Sunyani and we have equally good ones”

“We are ready physically and spiritually. You know playing against Kotoko is a motivation for every player so there’s no need to question our readiness”

“The game will be live on TV and the referees are aware that the whole world will be watching so we are praying for fair officiating and if we get it, there’s no way we will lose the game”

“We will beat Asante Kotoko like the way King Faisal did at Baba Yara Sports Stadium. We will beat Kotoko 3 goals to 2 on Saturday, yes, we have three goals in the game and if care is not taken, Kotoko won’t even score a single goal”
