Sunday’s SheBelieves Cup match between New Zealand and the United States saw Meikayla Moore score three own goals.
In the first 36 minutes of the game, Moore scored a hat trick of own goals before being subbed off in the 40th minute.

Five minutes into the game, the defender’s misery began when he scored one of three own goals. Moore cut a cross from USWNT player Sophia Smith into the bottom right corner while attempting to stop it. No matter how hard she tried, Erin Nayler couldn’t get her hands on the ball in time.

Margaret Purce set up Moore’s second goal with a cross into the area, which Moore misdirected into her own goal. Seconds after Purce’s pass, Moore deflected the ball into Nayler’s net for the third and final own goal of the game.
More currently plays for Liverpool FC’s women’s team.
