VIDEO: Mohammed Kudus climbs off the bench to earn a point for Ajax

Ghana’s Mohammed Kudus came from the bench to score for Ajax in a 1-1 draw at home to strugglers Volendam.

After a scoreless 45 minutes which was completely dominated by Ajax, Volendam scored the opener in the 59th minute through a Damon Mirani header.

Just after conceding, Ajax introduced Mohammed Kudus into the game. The 2022 World Cup star made his introduction count as he scored the equalizer in the 80th minute, unleashing a shot into the bottom corner.

The goal which was Kudus’ 11th of the season in all competitions and his 1st since the restart after the World Cup earned Ajax a point.

The Dutch Champions are without a win in their last 6 league games, a situation which keeps them 5th on the league table with 34 points, 7 points behind leaders Feyenoord.
