VIDEO: Jeffery Schlupp scores for Crystal Palace but suffers fresh injury

Ghanaian midfielder Jeffery Schlupp was on target as Crystal Palace defeated struggling Sheffield United 2-0 at the Selhurst park on Saturday afternoon.

Schlupp, who’s in fine form this season was handed a start by manager Roy Hogsdon.

Crystal Palace took the lead just 4 minutes into the game, a pass from Christian Benteke deflected off the Sheffield United defender and fell to Jeffery Schlupp who calmly planted the ball past Adams Ramsdale.

Schlupp picked up an injury in the 40th minute and was replaced by Eberechi Eze.

The substitute Eze doubled Palace’s lead in the dying embers of the first half, he danced his way into the West Brom defense and placed the ball into the net.

Jordan Ayew was introduced into the game at the break, he came on for the injured Christian Benteke.

Palace held on in the second half to snatch all 3 points.

Schlupp has now featured in 15 games for Palace, scoring 2 goals and providing an assist.
