VIDEO: Asante Kotoko duo Mbella, Mfegue leave Ghana for Cameroon

Asante Kotoko duo Franck Etouga Mbella and Georges Mfegue has left the shores of Ghana for their native Cameroon.
Etouga, 21, joined Asante Kotoko from Cameroonian topflight side AS Fortuna de Mfou before the start of the current campaign together with his compatriot Mfegue Omgba, 24, who joined from Avion Academy of Douala.
The duo have earned high marks for their scintillating performances since arriving in Kumasi and are highly adored by the fans of Kotoko, particularly Mbella who was scoring goals for fun.
With their exploits, the Porcupines clinched the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League title with both combining to score 29 of the club’s 48 league goals.
Mbella Etouga netted 21 goals and 3 assists in 30 appearances, while Georges Mfegue managed 8 goals, 5 assists in the just ended season.
Asante Kotoko broke camp on Sunday after a dinner at the Tang Hotel in Accra following a 1-1 draw with Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium.
The the duo on Thursday morning took advantage of the break to depart Ghana for their native Cameroon to spend the holidays with their families and are expected to return to begin pre-season with Kotoko next month.
