Veteran striker Alex Asamoah eyes goal king with Eleven Wonders

Eleven Wonders returnee, Alex Asamoah has set sight on joining the goal king race soon ahead of the start of the second round of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
The former Asante Kotoko and Aduana Stars striker Alex Asamoah rejoined Ghana Premier League side Techiman-based club on Thursday, March 11, 2021, signing a one-year deal.
Asamoah first joined the Techiman-based club in 2018 on a free transfer after ending his stay with Burkinabé side Rail Club du Kadiogo but the two parties mutually parted ways the following year.
Asamoah has a rich experience in Ghana’s elite division having also featured for the likes of Berekum Arsenals and Ashanti Gold.
The 35-year-old won the golden boot with Kotoko in 2009 and has assured the supporters of Eleven Wonders to keep calm.
Speaking to Kumasi based OTEC FM, Alex Asamoah assured the Techiman based outfit of taking them to the promise land.
“I’ve done it before, not only in Ghana and I still believe in myself that I will be in the Goal King race. Give me 10 chances and I will score 8,” Alex Asamoah told OTEC FM.
“The so-called old players (Yahaya Mohammed, Gladson Awako, Hans Kwoffie, etc) are still playing well in our league which some lead the Goal King so I will continue what I normally do when the league resumes” He concluded.
He has also played for Algerian Club ES Sétif as well as Gyeongnam FC In South Korea.
Karela United forward Diawisie Taylor leads the goal king race with 12 goals.
