U-23 AFCON: Ibrahim Tanko names Black Meteors’ starting XI to face Morocco, Barnieh dropped

Ghana’s coach, Ibrahim Tanko, has revealed a formidable starting lineup for the Black Meteors’ second Group A match against Morocco tonight.
The host nation, Morocco, will be facing Ghana’s male national U23 team in the second group game of the 2023 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations at the Prince Moulay Abdellah Stadium in Rabat.
Both countries secured victories in their opening games and will be aiming for another win today to secure a spot in the competition’s semifinals.
Ghana clinched a 3-2 victory over Congo, thanks to an outstanding second-half performance by Emmanuel Yeboah, who scored twice and provided an assist. On the other hand, Morocco staged a comeback with a brace from Abde Ezzalzouli to secure a 2-1 win over Guinea in their opening match.
For this evening’s fixture, Coach Tanko has made changes to his starting lineup, granting Emmanuel Yeboah and Hafiz Ibrahim a place in the starting eleven, while team captain Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Sylvester Simba of Dreams FC will begin on the bench.
The match is scheduled to kick off at 8:00 PM (GMT).
