Former Ghana youth star, Issah Abdul Rahman has echoed others assertion that the current crops of players plying their trade in the local scene lack quality.
Many have shared their opinions, and the former Goldfields(AshantiGold) player, Rahman becomes the latest former Ghana player to add his voice.
Speaking in an interview with Sunyani-based B.A TV , Rahman indicated that some of the local players lack discipline and have not been benefiting from local coaches – who are competent.
“Football is about discipline. Our local coaches have the football eyes or technical eyes but some crop of players under those coaches these days are indiscipline,” he said on Anopa Bosuo Sports on B.A TV.
“There are no better players in the league, people go to the stadium to watch comparing to those days in 1998 & 1999 season.
“I used to go to stadium to watch Agyeman Duah and the likes,” he added.
Rahman was part of the Ghana squad that lost 2-1 to Brazil in the 1997 Under-17 Championship.
