‘The Referee didn’t eat before the game, he was not himself’ – Retired referee on Yao Bless’ Super Clash display

Retired Ghanaian referee Owusu Mensah Kalla, has defended Yao Selorm Bless who officiated the BetPawa Premier League Game between Kotoko and Hearts last Sunday.
Yao Selorm Bless has been accused by many football fans of denying Kotoko three penalties in the 1-1 game.
Retired Ref Owusu Mensah speaking on Kessben TV’s Midfield Action with Joe Laka indicated that something happened prior to the game which psychologically affected the young referee.
Kalla stressed that it was not the Yao Serlom Bless he knew conceding that at least Kotoko should have been awarded a penalty in the game.
“It was not Yao Selorm Bless we know that we saw in the game. He had a bad day. Due to what happened before the game, He could not even eat. Psychologically and emotionally, it affected him.
I saw him before the game and after the game, I spoke with him. He was not Okay. Kalla said.
Many football fans including sports analysts say at least Kotoko should have been awarded three penalties in the game.
