Sunyani West MP Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah buys Division One League side Nsoatreman FC

The Member of Parliament(MP) for Sunyani West Constituency, Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah has taken over Division One League side Nsoatreman FC as the new owner.

The politician – who owns Baffour Soccer Academy in the Bono region – in the last few months has been in talks with the owner of the Zone One outfit Tony Bennett in a move to acquire the club.
According to our sources, the team will now be managed by the leadership of Baffour Soccer Academy.
Based in Twumasikrom, near Sunyani in the Brong Region, the club owned by the Hon. Ignatius Baffour Awuah – who is the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations – boast of over 65 players in the U-15 and U-17 divisions with several others in the U-10 and U-13 divisions.
The Academy already have a team participating in the Division 2 league in the Bono Region.
The acquisition of Nsoatreman FC means that Baffour Soccer Academy has a higher division now and no more only Division 2.
Management of the academy side on Tuesday, May 4, 2021, welcomed the entire team(Nsoatreman FC) to Baffour Sports Complex as they held their first training on the Alawa Training Field.

Nsoatreman FC currently occupies the 12th position in the Zone One league with 21 points after 19 games.
The young soccer academy boasts of two pitches, one for training and one for matches, modern dressing room, two-storey buildings used as hostels, a swimming pool and an entertainment room, a restaurant, and a 6 unit classroom.
