Stephen Amankona has joined his dream team Kumasi Asante Kotoko, and he has scripted some words to his former team, Berekum Chelsea.

Former Berekum Chelsea team captain Stephen Amankona wrote the following message on his official social media handle.

“I am grateful to my parents, to my manager, and God sent father, Obed Nana Nketiah, Oduro Sarfo, Francis Adjei, Fredua Christopher, entire technical team and playing body of Berekum Chelsea, the good people of Berekum and Jinjini. Finally, I embrace the challenge, God be my helper. The land and the new good people of Kumasi be good to me. Thank you Krobea here I come, together we raise the Asante Kotoko flag higher.

Amankona, 21, signed three -year contract with Kumasi Asante Kotoko on the transfer deadline day.

He was one of the best in the league last season with a solid performance. He scored 11 goals, 5 assists out of 28 games as a forward-wing.

Amankona is likely to be a replacement for former Asante Kotoko Deputy Captain Emmanuel Gyamfi.
