Sharp-shooting Alhassan Rafiatu sparkles in Bulldogs’ heavy win against Blinn

Former Northern Ladies goal poacher and captain for Navarro Women’s Soccer team, Alhassan Rafiatu was among the five players who scored as the Bulldogs extended their Unbeaten streak to eight matches and ended Blinn’s first-ever playoff soccer appearance at Tiger Stadium.

Navarro got goals from Kaede Yamaguchi (2) in the 36th minute, and from Manami Okadai 95) in the 39th minute for a 2-0 advantage at halftime.

The Bulldogs widened their lead to 4-0 on goals from Rafiatu Alhassan (7) in the 63rd minute and from Laura Jansa (2) in the 66th.

Laia Gonzalez capped NC’s scoring with her fifth goal of the season at the 78th minute.

Coach Michael McBride was very Happy about the Ghanaian performance against Blinn.

Refiatu is emerging as a promising Striker in the NJCAA League after netting 10 goals in eight games for her team.

The sharpshooter racked a total of 19 goals for Northern Ladies before leaving for the United States.

Navarro Women’s Soccer team are currently second on the league log with 25 points out of 11 games.
