Satellites to face Nigeria in WAFU Cup Group B opener

Ghana’s Black Satellites will open their 2022 WAFU Zone B U-20 Cup of Nations campaign with a Group B clash against rivals Nigeria in Niamey on May 8.
Coach Karim Zito’s side will enjoy a 5-day break before facing Burkina Faso in their final Group B encounter on May 14.

On Thursday, the Satellites defeated Golden Kick 4-1 in a friendly at the Accra Stadium, as part of preparations for this 2023 U-20 AFCON qualification tournament.
The two teams that reach the final will represent WAFU Zone B at next year’s U-20 AFCON Egypt, which kicks off from February 18 to March 12.
