Samuel Boadu drop Hearts of Oak top scorer Kofi Kordzi from his squad to face Asante Kotoko on Friday

Center-forward Kofi Kordzi has not been included in Hearts of Oak’s final squad for the President Cup against bitterest rivals Asante Kotoko on Friday.

The Phobians will take on the Porcupine Warriors in the 12th edition of the cup played in honor of the sitting president on Friday, March 5 at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Ahead of the game, local portals report that Kordzi has not been included in the squad for the game. However, the reason behind his exclusion hasn’t been revealed.

Kofi Kordzi has struggled for playing minutes in recent weeks, failing to start any of the club’s last 5 games.

Despite the lack of playing minutes, Kordzi is Hearts of Oak’s top scorer in all competitions this season with 9 goals from 19 games.

Meanwhile, Patrick Razak has been included in the squad for the President Cup. The winger hasn’t been in the match-day since November 2021 against AshantiGold.
