Sambo 4 FC clinch Accra East District FA Zone 1 championship; set to battle Maranatha FC for Division 2 promotion
1 min readSambo 4 Football Club has secured a place in the playoff to determine which team qualifies for the Greater Accra East District Division Two League.
They picked a place in the playoff after emerging as the winners of the 2022–23 Accra East District Football Association Zone One League following an impressive performance throughout the season.
The ‘One Team, One Dream’ lads went through the whole season unbeaten as they managed an outstanding 18 wins out of 20 games, drawing twice in the process. They amassed 56 points, scoring 44 goals in the season.
The Teshie-based lower-tier side is billed to play Maranatha FC in the promotional playoff game on July 23, 2023.
The Accra East District Football Association Division 3 League was sponsored by Hon. Ben Ayiku, the Member of Parliament for Ledzokuku Constituency.
The leadership of the club, led by Chairman Jerry Adjei, Frank Nii Ayi, Sly Nii Borketey, etc., appreciates the efforts of the technical team, players, and above all, the supporters of the club for their commitment and massive support shown to the players during their journey to success in the league.
It’s remarkable to note that most of their players won outstanding player of the match awards in the league.
Sambo 4 FC, established in 2013, is a football club based in Teshie in the Greater Accra Region.
They are optimistic about winning more laurels for the people of Teshie and its environs.
