Richard Manu sacked as Asante Kotoko Youth Team coach

Asante Kotoko have relieved former player Richard Manu from his duties as the club’s Youth Team coach.

The Ghanaian-born German was part of the coaches who screen talents to form the nucleus of the youth side in 2019 under the Dr Kwame Kyei’s administration.

However, after legal tussle with the club, Kotoko, led by Nana Yaw Amponsah have sacked Richard Manu from the club and have been asked to return the club’s assets in his possession.

Manu was appointed as Asante Kotoko youth team coach on a five-year deal in 2019 together with George Asare.

Manu played for Kotoko between 2007 and 2010 and was part of the team which won the Ghana Premier League in 2008.

Meanwhile, the club’s Youth Team will be kick started in few months time with documents already intact.

The team will be led by former first team assistant coach, Abdulai Gazale.
