Sheriff Tiraspol goalkeeper Razak Abalora is confident of staging a return to the Black Stars.
The former Asante Kotoko shot-stopper was frozen out of the Black Stars following concerns about his form during the qualifiers for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations.
Abalora was left out of the country’s squad for the Afcon, which was held in Cameroon, and was not involved in the 2022 Fifa World Cup play-off games.
But the promising glovesman has set his eyes on staging a return to the team following his impressive performance at the Moldova side.
“For Black Stars, we all have the right to play for the national team depending on your performance and that has been the hall mark,” he told Kumasi-based Akoma FM.
“I am doing my best and I am always ready when the chance comes.”
“The current goalkeepers really deserve it, so let’s give them the needed support.
” For me, I will keep working hard to help my club to make it into the Champions League. That’s what I’m thinking now.
“When called into the Black Stars, I am ever ready,” he concluded.
Ghana have qualified for the upcoming World Cup to be staged in Qatar from November to December 2022.
Ghana is in the same group as Portugal, Uruguay, and South Korea.
