Quitting Hearts Of Oak for Dreams FC not a step-down – Joseph Esso
1 min readJoseph Esso has asserted emphatically that he has no regrets about swapping local giants Hearts of Oak for Dreams FC.
The 24-year-old shockingly joined the ‘Still Believe’ side before the start of the ongoing 2020/21 season after contract renewal talks with the Phobians hit a snag.
Esso had been highly tipped to join arch-rivals Asante Kotoko but Dreams FC surprisingly signed the striker in a two-year deal.
He had to endure a slow start to the season due to an injury but he has been able to pick up the pieces, scoring as expected of him.
“It’s not bad moving from Hearts to Dreams.
“Many will see it to be a step-down but I know what I want in my career and I think is a good decision for me.
“I got injured in week two but I’m back enjoying my football,” he told TV3 GPL Xpress.
Joseph Esso has scored five goals so far for Dreams FC who have climbed to 6th position in the Ghana Premier League standings after 13 matches.
