“Playing three games without a win is very shameful” – Kofi Kordzi

1 min read

Hearts of Oak striker Kofi Kordzi has indicated that he and his teammates are disappointed following the poor start to the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.

The reigning champions are yet to win a game after three rounds of matches extending their winless run following another draw on Sunday against visiting Aduana Stars.

Kordzi scored for the second time this season as he opened the scoring with a great finish but Aduana converted a controversial penalty for a 1-1 draw.

“It’s a very difficult task because as champions and going three games without a win is very shameful, we are very disappointed but we will try to get back because it is not easy.”

“As champions, everybody is trying to beat us so it’s very difficult,” Kordzi told reporters after the match.

Hearts have scored two goals in the league, both coming from Kordzi who returned to the club in August.

“I don’t have any promise for the fans but as a striker, I have my personal target and cannot disclose it.”

Hearts hope to finally get a win in their next game against AshantiGold.
