Otto Addo drops Ghana Premier League duo from Black Stars squad to face Central African Republic

According to local media reports, Black Stars coach Otto Addo and his technical team have left Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Augustine Okrah out of the squad for the Central African Republic game.
The two players have been omitted from the Black Stars’ traveling team for the second day of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, which will take place on June 5th.
The Black Stars are expected to fly to the Central African Republic on Friday evening for the crucial match.
According to the report, Hearts of Oak winger Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Bechem United’s Augustine Okrah were left out of Coach Otto Addo and his technical team’s final selection for the Central African Republic match.
Also, Celta Vigo defender Joseph Aidoo has been omitted from the squad list due to injury while VFL Bochum attacker Christopher Antwi Adjei will be joining the team in Japan for the 2022 Kirin Cup
Hearts of Oak defender Dennis Nkrumah Korsah has also been given a late call-up to enhance the team. He will be the only local-based player.
The Black Stars got off to a flying start on Wednesday with a 3-0 triumph over Madagascar at the Cape Coast stadium, which sent Ghana to the top of Group E. In the other Group E encounter, Angola came from behind to overcome Central African Republic 2-1.
Ghana will compete in the 2022 Kirin Cup in Japan, a four-nation event that will feature Ghana, Tunisia, Chile, and host Japan as part of the preparations for the FIFA World Cup Qatar2022, which will take place in November.
