Olympique Lyonnais have announced the capturing of midfielder Noah Nartey from Danish Superliga side Brondby IF.

The 20-year-old Danish-born Ghanaian signed a five-year contract that will keep him at his new club until June 30, 2030.

Nartey, a Danish U-21 international, is seen as one of the highly-rated young midfielders to emerge from the Danish league in recent years. He is a product of Brondby’s youth academy, he progressed rapidly through the ranks and established himself as a regular first-team player at a remarkably young age.

Since the 2023/24 season, he has made over 70 professional appearances across all competitions, contributing 12 goals and underlining his growing influence at senior level.

Comfortable operating in various midfield roles, Nartey is admired for his technical quality, composure on the ball, tactical intelligence and versatility.

His maturity and consistency have made him a key figure for both club and country at youth international level.

The acquisition fits squarely for OL within their strategic vision of investing in emerging talents with strong development potential and resale value.

The club believes Nartey’s profile, athleticism and mentality align with their ambition to rebuild competitively while securing the future.

Nartey now faces the challenge of adapting to Ligue 1, where he will look to continue his upward trajectory and make a lasting impact in French football.
