Olympics 2-0 Kotoko: Porcupines' league title defense suffer huge setback as Dade Boys boost surviving hopes
Great Olympics claimed a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League on Thursday afternoon, dealing a blow to the latter’s hopes of defending their league title.
Despite having a chance to close the gap on league leaders Aduana Stars, Kotoko failed to impress and were inconsistent throughout the season.
Michael Osei and Emmanuel Akesseh scored in the first half to secure the victory for the Dade Boys at the WAFA Park in Sogakope.
As a result, Kotoko dropped to 6th place on the league table, eight points behind Aduana Stars.
