Official: Samuel Inkoom completes one-year move to Hearts of Oak; could feature in Sunday’s Super Clash

Former Asante Kotoko right-back Samuel Inkoom has completed his move to the nation’s capital based club Hearts of Oak, the club has announced.

The 32-year-old has penned a one-year deal with the Ghanaian champions awaiting his International Transfer Certificate (ITC) after impressing the technical team during his trial with the club.

Inkoom was earlier linked with a return to Asante Kotoko, where he played between 2008 and 2009, but the leadership of the club turned him down, and now he will feature for Kotoko’s bitterest rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak until 2023.

The 2009 U20 World Cup winner could play a part in Hearts of Oak’s match day 24 clash with Asante Kotoko at the Baba Yara Stadium where he made his name some years back.

He follows in the footsteps of legendary midfielder Sulley Muntari who joined the Phobians for the second half of the season. Sulley has performed creditably well for Hearts of Oak since his arrival.
