Nations FC, the newly promoted team in the Ghana Premier League, has appointed Kassim Ocansey Mingle as their new head coach in preparation for their inaugural season in the top flight.
The exact duration of his contract has not been disclosed by the club at this time, as stated in their announcement on Friday evening. However, it appears that the tweet announcing his appointment has since been deleted.
Nations FC secured their place in the Ghana Premier League by clinching the championship title in the 2022/23 Nations Division One League Zone 2. They impressively accumulated 72 points from 30 matches, finishing seven points ahead of Skyy FC.
Mingle, who recently concluded his tenure at Bechem United, another Ghana Premier League team, will now join Nations FC based in Kumasi. During his two seasons with Bechem United, Mingle guided the club to a commendable second-place finish, amassing 54 points. They narrowly fell behind Medeama SC and Aduana FC, who claimed the top two spots.
Mingle’s arrival at Nations FC comes after his successful spell at Bechem United, where he consistently led the team to third-place finishes in consecutive seasons.
