Ghana coach Chris Hughton announced on Monday his 27-man squad for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations, set to be held in Cote D’Ivoire in mid-January.
Hughton had announced a 55-man preliminary squad last month, and while the final squad includes a lot of familiar faces, it also saw the exclusions of many players such as Baba Rahman, Fatawu Issahaku, whiles Ghana Premier League stars Jonathan Sowah, Rchmond Lamptey, and Fatawu Hamidu made the cut for the Ghana’s quest to end 41-year-old trophy drought.
