OFFICIAL: Baba Rahman completes switch to PAOK
1 min readGhanaian left back Baba Rahman has joined Greek outfit PAOK Thessaloniki on loan for the rest of the season, replacing Dimitrios Giannoulis who joined Norwich weeks ago.
It was reported that Baba Rahman was on the verge of joining the Greek side on loan, the deal has now been completed and Baba will be a PAOK player for the next 6 months.
Baba Rahman, who joined Chelsea in the summer of 2015 on a 5-year contract from Augsburg and was tipped by connoisseurs of the game to make a great impact at Chelsea has seen his Chelsea career plagued by injuries
The 26-year-old has featured in only 23 games for the blues, with his last appearance coming in the 2015/16 season. He has since then been loaned successively at Schalke, Reims and Real Mallorca.
Baba Rahman in the summer transfer window failed to secure a move away from Chelsea and he has since then been training with the Club’s Under-23s.
The former Dreams FC player has now joined Greek side PAOK, where he wants to get his career back on track.
PAOK currently sits 4th on the Greek Super League 1 with 36 points after 19 games. Rahman is expected to improve the side that aims at securing a place in Europe by the end of the season.
