Algerian giants ES Sétif have announced the capture of Ghana striker Daniel Lomotey from Ghanaian outfit WAFA SC.
The 21-year-old left the shores of Ghana about a fortnight ago to sign for Tunisian topflight side AS Soliman after an initial agreement between the two clubs, but the deal hit a snag.
He was therefore, forced to consider a move to a different club.
Lomotey has penned down a three-year deal with the Algerian Ligue 1 side, ES Sétif.
According to sources, Sétif – the Caf Confederation Cup campaigners – came through with a $100,000 transfer offer which got accepted by WAFA.
Sétif announced the Lomotey signing via their socials Friday night:
“Ghanaian international player Daniel Lomotey signed a three-year contract with our team, and nearly half an hour has entered national territory on his way to Setif City and will be presented next Sunday awaiting his qualification.”

Lomotey officially ends his 2020/21 Ghana Premier League campaign with 8 goals from nine games.
ES Sétif, who currently lead the ongoing Algerian Ligue 1 table, face Asante Kotoko in the playoffs to the 2020/21 Caf Confederation Cup group stage next month.
However, Daniel Lomotey who scored against the Porcupines in his last GPL game, will not be available for his new side as he could only be registered for the competition after the playoffs.
