Nations FC score late to deny Asante Kotoko

There was drama at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports complex at Abrankese where Nations FC scored on the death to secure a point against Asante Kotoko in a 2-2 draw.

After a barren first half, Nations FC were off to a flying start to the second half as Amidou Diarra took advantage of a sloppy ball in the Kotoko area to slot home the opener.

Asante Kotoko piled the pressure and equalized through Steven Dese Mukwala the 88th minute. The Ugandan man slotted home from a rebound following Augustine Agyapong’s free kick off the edge of the box.

The Porcupine Warriors extended their lead in the 92nd minute through Kyei Dwamena Michael but Nations FC rallied back for the equalizer with a late penalty.

Amidou Diarra sent Danlad Ibrahim the wrong way to sent the home fans into a frenzy as the game ended 2-2 at Abrankese.
