Ashantigold trainer Milovan Cirkovic says he is not satisfied with the quality of players in the club.

The Miners appointed the experienced Serbian trainer as head coach of the side two weeks ahead of the 2020-21 Ghana Premier League.

Cirkovic replaced Italian coach Roberto Landi who left the Miners a few weeks ago due to disagreement with the management of the club on his salary.

The 57-year-old trainer who has over thirty years experience in coaching has been observing the side since his arrival.

According to him, much need to be done to improve the team, noting that a top-four finish on the upcoming season log would not be a bad achievement.

“I have had little time to study them but I can say I am not satisfied with what I have seen, we need to do more, they are better but more work needs to be done. Placing in the first four on the log won’t be bad, ” Coach Milovan Cirkovic told Oyerepa 100.7fm.

Ashantigold will host Karela United in their opening fixture of the season on Sunday.

Cirkovic has worked as assistant coach of Thailand from September 2017 to January 2019 under former Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac.

He has also managed Tanzanian giants Simba SC in 2013.
