Medeama’s Felix Kyei crowned GPL goalkeeper of the month

Medeama shot stopper Felix Kyei has revealed Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois as his role model based on his exploits and composure.

The 20-year-old is enjoying an amazing season with the mauve and yellows, who are currently second on the Ghana Premier League table after 26 games.

Kyei is considered as one of the best goalkeepers in the ongoing domestic top-flight campaign, having kept more clean sheet.

He kept a clean sheet when Medeama defeated his former club Karela United 1-0 at the Akoon Community Park on Sunday.

After the game, Felix Kyei revealed he possesses some qualities of the Belgian and Real Madrid star goalkeeper.

“They usually call me Courtois; I didn’t take it myself”. Asked if he has Courtois attributes, he said, “Yes, because he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world”

The inform goalkeeper joined Medeama SC from Karela United as a free agent in the second transfer window of the 2022-23 season.
