Maxwell Baakoh asked to vacate hotel by Asante Kotoko

The Management of Asante Kotoko have asked Maxwell Baakoh to leave his hotel after refusing to extend his contract with the club, according to Oyerepa FM.
The 24-year-old and his representatives declined a new two-year contract offered by the Ghanaian giants after unfruitful talks.
Baakoh joined the Reds on a two-year deal from Karela United ahead of their 2018 CAF Confederation Cup campaign.His two-year deal with Asante Kotoko expired on Friday, October 30.
According to Baakoh’s manager Maxwell Nana Essien, Kotoko submitted a monthly offer of GHS 3,500 but they rejected it because it was below their quoted figure.
According to Footydreamsgh.com sources, Kotoko increased their bid to GHS 4,000 but it was again rejected by the camp of Baakoh as they were only ready to sign a GHS 4,800.
According to the report, Lucy Adjei – who is the deputy Operations told the player to leave the Royal Baron Hotel, where they are camping this morning.
The former Wa All Stars (now Legon Cities) talisman underwent a knee surgery earlier this year which kept him out of 2019/20 Ghana Premier League which was cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
His stint at Asante Kotoko has hampered by series of injuries which keep him out of action for several months
