Tamale City defeated King Faisal 4-0 at the Aliu Mahama Stadium to extend their unbeaten run to five games and as well move away from the relegation zone.

Tamale City headed into the game in good spirits and hoping to build on recent results that has seen them beat Hearts of Oak 4-1 in Tamale and draw 1-1 with Asante Kotoko in Kumasi.

The Citizens were on course to doing so after just 3 minutes into the game, Sammy Osae Akoto scored to give them the lead.

Sampson Eduku doubled the lead in the 15th minute, before scoring again in the 32nd minute to grab his brace and his 14th goal of the season, going level on the top scorers list with Hafiz Konkoni of Bechem United.

In the second half, Godknows Dzakpasu scored to make it 4-0 and wrap up the win for Tamale City.

The win stretches Tamale City’s unbeaten run to five games and as well see them move into 9th place 39 points.

For King Faisal, they are winless in their last four games and drop into the relegation zone with 36 points.
