Bechem United continued their impressive home record after beaten relegation-threatened Inter Allies FC 2-1 at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park on Sunday afternoon.
The two sides locked horns in a match-day 22 encounter of the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League.
Captain of the Hunters, Moro Salifu opened the scoring before striker Hafiz Wontah Konkoni doubled his side’s lead with a few minutes to end the first half.
Inter Allies, knowing the importance of the fixture commenced the game on a high note but could not score despite their numerous goal attempts.
Nafiu Sulemana fired several shots on target but all were met with equally good saves by Bechem United goalkeeper Isaac Asempa.
Bechem took control of the game and on the 27th minutes earned a penalty kick.
Midfielder Moro Sslifu – who has been impressive in the season so far nicely converted to give the home side the lead.
With three minutes to end the first half, striker Hafiz Konkoni netted his team’s second goal on the afternoon.
After recess, Inter Allies pushed more men forward to come into the game again.
In the 68th minute, the Capelli boys reduced the deficit.
Hashmin Musah’s header forced Boubacar Sidiki Doumbia to put the ball in his own net.
Both teams tried out shots but none could enter the net as the home team record another victory.
Inter Allies remain at the foot of the league with 18 points.
