Match Report: Ghana 3-1 Morocco: Black Queens defeat Atlas Lioness in international friendly

The Black Queens of Ghana played an improved game to revenge an earlier loss by the Black Princesses by their Moroccan counterparts in the double international friendly match played by the two countries.
With a 3-1 victory, the Black Queens confirmed their superiority over their northern African opponents.
The Lioness of Morocco began the game with intense pressure on the Black Queens, forcing their way into the goal area of Ghanaians.
The efforts of the Lioness proved positive for them when Ghanaian referee Theresa Bremansu awarded an early penalty after Janet Agyire was deemed to have fouled her opponent in the penalty box.
Chebbak Ghizzane stepped onto the challenge to put the ball beyond the reach of goalkeeper Abigail Tawiah Mensah.
The goal did not move the Black Queens, who improved on their game with a high pressing strategy to get the Moroccans to pull all girl back into their shelves.

Coach Mercy Tagoe Quarcoo employed a system that kept the Queens exchange passes in the goal area of the Moroccans, the pressure worked for the Queens who got the needed Equalizer in the 25th minute of the first half, after Fuastina Kyeremeh powerful shot outside the box beat goalkeeper Zouhair Assia.

The Queens did not relent on their efforts after the first goal with an improved performance to get more goals. The efforts of the Queens were boosted when referee Theresa Bremansu a Moroccan defender the marching off orders for an unsportsmanlike conduct, after a foul on a Ghanaian player, Linda Eshun scored the resultant free kick in the 45th minute to hand Ghana a deserving lead to end the half.
The Moroccans returned from the break looking more as though they had not player out, and marched the Ghanaian square and fit for much of the second half forcing Coach Mercy Tagoe to make two straight substitutions with GeorginaAyisha and Alice Kusi coming in to offer some more attacking works.
Ghana’s substitution worked as Alice Kusi combined with Sandra Owusu Ansah to feed Georgina Ayisha for the third goal of the evening.
The Moroccans with Numerical disadvantage tried to get a face saving goal, but were denied by the Black Queens of Ghana.
