Match Report: Berekum Chelsea, Hearts Of Oak play out stalemate at Golden City Park

The game between Berekum Chelsea and Accra Hearts of Oak at the Berekum Golden City park ended scoreless.
Berekum Chelsea came into the game at the back of a 4-1 defeat to Karela and needed to make a statement, whiles Hearts of Oak came into the game at the back of a 2-0 victory against Eleven Wonders.
The first chance of the game fell to Benjamin Afutu in the 11th minute, he failed to connect perfectly to a cross from skipper Fatawu Mohammed.
Chelsea were presented with a huge opportunity in the 22nd minute, Paul Agyei Attah failed to put the ball at the back of the net after an howler by Richmond Ayi.
Berekum Chelsea continued to create chances in the first half, but were let down by poor finishing.
The second half of the game saw little chances being created by both sides, the football was mostly played in the middle, coupled with bad decision making in the final 3rd.
The only big chance of the half came in the dying embers of the game when an effort by Frederick Ansah Botchway was spilled by the goalkeeper Gregory Obeng Sekyere, Eric Dizan’s effort from the rebound was saved by the goalkeeper.
Referee Alfa Ba-Adey after 90 minutes and 3 minutes of time added on ended 0-0. Berekum Chelsea’s Ushau Abu was named man of the match.
Chelsea’s next game will be against King Faisal in Techiman, whiles Hearts of Oak will host regional rivals Great Olympics.
