Berekum Chelsea allowed guest Aduana Stars to pick 1 vital point at the Golden City park in Berekum when after both sides produced an entertaining 90 minutes of football action in the last match of week 6 of the Ghana premier league.
Berekum Chelsea, playing at Home proved very strong in the early minutes of the game, pressing for the opener with Stephen Sarfo and Captain Stephen Amankonah leading the charge.
The Bibires boys, who are unbeaten at home this season, opened the scores in the 24th minute when a Stephen Amankonah low drive was deflected to goal by Defender Isaac Kwain, whose attempted clearance went wrong.
Berekum Chelsea created 3 more chances in the first half but Goalkeeper Joseph Addo was on hand to save the Ogya Boys.
Aduana Stars, led in attack by Yaya Mohammed and Bright Adjei returned to the second half of the game poised to maintain a decent result, their efforts were supported by the midfield duo of Charles Gyamfi, and Sam Adams.
The efforts of Aduana paid off in the 53rd munite when a Yaya Mohammed free Kick was deflected to goal by Bright Adjei.
Chelsea sacrificed Richard Kissi Boateng in defence for Striker Emmanuel Clottey to push for the match winner, the subs seemed to have benefited the Bibires who pilled pressure on their guest, by Jordan Opoku, and Clottey himself missed begging chances to go ahead.
It didn’t look like a game Chelsea were going to win, going by thw numerous chances their strikers missed, with Captain Amankonah the worse culprit of the day.
Both teams felt the heat of not getting the goal, with Aduana Stars enjoying that one point from away.
