Old rivals Asante Kotoko and King Faisal are set to face off in their outstanding betPawa Premier League game at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Wednesday.
Asante Kotoko, the league champions, who scored four goals against Real Tamale United on Sunday, will be looking to close the six-point gap between them and leaders Aduana FC. The Porcupine Warriors have not lost a game since the departure of former Burkina Faso trainer Seydou Zerbo.
Asante Kotoko seem to have regained their form and will have the likes of Isaac Oppong and Serge Eric Zeze back from injury. Danlad Ibrahim is expected to start as goalkeeper after returning from international duty with the Black Meteors.
King Faisal, on the other hand, are fighting to avoid relegation, sitting in 13th place with 31 points. The team has been inconsistent throughout the season despite three changes to their technical set-up. Former player Godwin Ablordey has replaced Jimmy Cobblah as coach and led them to two successive victories.
Asante Kotoko defeated King Faisal 3-0 in the first round of the season, and both sides will be looking to earn points in their Wednesday encounter. The game will be broadcast live on StarTimes Adepa channel 247.
