Hearts Of Oak new signing, Maxwell Abbey Quaye has indicated that it was not easy departing Great Olympics on the transfer deadline day.

The Phobians acquired the services of forward Abbey Quaye late on Monday night after a fruitful negotiations.

The versatile forward has joined Hearts on a three-year deal which runs until 2025.

Abbey decided against extending his contract with Great Olympics which has expired after joining in 2017.

Abbey Quaye, who is currently with the Black Galaxies in Austria took to his Twitter account to confirm the deal, noting that he hopes to succeed with his new club.

He was the top scorer for the Olympics in the just-completed 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season with 10 goals in 27 matches. In the season before that(2020/21), he scored 9 goals in 24 games.
