Kotoko’s Gyamfi picks positives despite ‘disappointing ‘ draw with Medeama

Asante Kotoko midfielder, Emmanuel Gyamfi has said that he was disappointed after his side picked a vital point in a 1-1 stalemate with Medeama at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa on Sunday.
After a feisty first half with few chances for both sides on the afternoon, the Porcupine Warriors opened the scoring with a sublime finish by Kwame Opoku in the week 4 outstanding fixture.

A late penalty converted by former Kotoko striker Abass Mohammed saved Medeama SC at their backyard.
Despite conceding the late equaliser, Gyamfi who assisted the Kotoko goal was pleased with the Reds’ passing game on the day.
“We were disappointed to come away with only a point after taking the lead, ” the winger said at the post-match conference.
“What disappointed me the most was that there was an earlier handball before the ball touched our player, but the referee ignored theirs and a penalty for ours.

” The positive is that we possessed and passed well, and we will train harder to improve in those areas and also score more.”
Kotoko currently occupies the 6th position on the league log with 9 points from 6 games.
