Kotoko attacker Andy Kumi rebuffs exit talks

Asante Kotoko attacker Andy Kumi has rebuffed reports of him pushing for a move away from the club in the summer.

The forward has fallen out-of-favor in the eyes of Coach Prosper Narteh, having failed to make any appearance for the club this season.

Reports were rife in the media few days ago that the 23-year-old is unhappy at the club and is seeking for a move away.

Reacting to the reports on Twitter, Kumi claims he is happy at Kotoko and vows to work hard to fight for a position in Prosper Narteh’s team.

Having joined Asante Kotoko in them middle of last season from Unistar Academy under the then Portuguese coach Mariano Barreto, Kumi hit the grounds running for the Porcupine Warriors, scoring six goals for the club before the season ended.

However, injury has forced him out of action for the club this season, and is still on road to full recovery.
