Kotoko ascend to the top of 2025/26 GPL table in grand style

Kumasi Asante Kotoko has ended the year 2025 on a scintillating note following their two successive wins in the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League in less than one week.

The Porcupine Warriors on 24th December 2025 trekked to the capital city, Accra to beat Eleven Wonders 2- 0 in match day 15 of the GPL.

They repeated the dose on Bechem United in a great style on 28th December 2025 at the famous Baba Yara Sports Stadium.

Kotoko humiliated the Bechem Boys 6-0 to end the year on a memorable note. It was match day 16 of the Ghana Premier League.

Fast improving attacker Morifing Donzo scored a brace. Skipper Samba Oniel, Hubert Gyau, Johnson Owusu and Kwame Poku were also on the score sheet.

By virtue of this emphatic victory, Kotoko has now moved to the summit of the log sheet with an amazing 30 points.

Tarkwa based Medeama SC are second with the same 30 points but goals difference separates them from the Fabulous Boys.

Aduana Stars who maintained the top spot for a couple of weeks have now dropped to the third position following their hard fought 2-2 with Young Apostles.

Coach of Asante Kotoko, Karim Zito has applauded his players for their brave show. He has charged them to maintain their winning mentality for the remaining games.

“This is a great win. I commend my players for taking their chances. They need to work hard for more successes” said coach Karim Zito.
