King Faisal owner Alhaji Grusah accuses GFA of Corruption, calls for Kurt Okraku’s head

Alhaji Karim Grusah, the owner and bankroller of King Faisal, has launched a scathing attack on the Ghana Football Association (GFA), labeling it as corrupt and demanding the resignation of its president, Kurt Okraku.

His strong comments come in the wake of the dismissal of King Faisal’s case against Tamale City by the Appeals Committee, as announced by the Football Association. This verdict confirms King Faisal’s relegation to the Division One League.

Despite the setback, Alhaji Grunzah has expressed his intention to take his case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to continue his fight.

In an interview with Kumasi-based LUV FM, Alhaji Grusah alleged that Kurt Okraku had called him to his office and promised to assist him despite previously claiming that he had no valid case. Alhaji Grunzah emphasized his belief that the GFA, under Kurt Okraku’s leadership, is corrupt, and therefore, both the President and the General Secretary should step down from their positions.

He questioned Kurt Okraku’s contributions to Ghana football and called for a complete overhaul of the association. Alhaji Grusah expressed his dissatisfaction with the state of affairs within the GFA, accusing it of running like a family association and asserting his knowledge of the activities taking place.

Alhaji Grusah’s comments reflect his frustration and disappointment with the GFA’s handling of the case and his belief that a change in leadership is necessary to address the alleged corruption within the association.

“What has he [Kurt] done for Ghana football?” Alhaji Grusah, who a member of the the Black Stars management committee said.

“I want to tell Kurt Okraku, he should resign from the GFA, and his General Secretary too.

“He called me to his office and told me, I have no case but he wants to help me. You can call him and ask him.

“I was with him at his office together with Mohammed Jiji.

“This corrupt GFA under [Kurt Okraku]? Running family association, we know everything he is doing,” Alhaji fumed.
