Karela United withdraws Two of Their Players From the National U-23 team Ahead Of The Two Friendly Ties With Japan.

The Aiyinase based club has withdrawn their two players from Ghana’s Olympic team ahead of the team’s two friendly games with Japan.
Ghanaian Premier League Club Karela United is withdrawing their Goalkeeper and Striker Richard Baidoo and Diawisie Taylor respectively from the Ghana National U-23 team towards the forthcoming friendly encounters with Japan.
It is understand that the two players are integral part of Karela in the ongoing 2020-21 Ghana Premier League campaign.
Taylor is currently the top scorer in the league having netted 12 goals in 21 appearances for Karela and Baidoo, the goalkeeper has made 13 appearances, conceding 11 goals and kept 6 clean sheets.
Karela are 4th on the league table with 43 points.
Therefore, Karela will be needing the two players as the team chases success in the league and therefore can’t forfeit to let the players be part of the national team
A statement from Karela’s Twitter handle reads;
“We have withdrawn our two players Richard Baidoo and Diawisie Taylor from the national u23 team. We wish the team all the best on the trip to Asia”.
The Ghana U-23 team will be locking horns with Japan on a double header affair on June 4, 2021 and June 8, 2021
