Just In: Asante Kotoko vs King Faisal league match postponed

The Ghana Football Association has announced that the betPawa Premier League Matchday 21 fixture between champions Asante Kotoko and King Faisal is postponed.

This is due to the unavailability of the Baba Yara Sports stadium for the advertised date for the match because of the Black Stars AFCON 2023 qualifier against Angola.

The decision is to give managers of the pitch ample time to further improve the quality of pitch for Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola.

Ghana have two crucial matches in Kumasi – where the Black Stars are set for a showdown against Angola on Thursday, March 23 before the Black Meteors battle Algeria in the 2nd leg of the last round qualifier for the TotalEnergies U-23 Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday, March 28, 2023.

However, the Kotoko vs King Faisal game which was originally scheduled for Sunday, March 12, will now take place on Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at the Baba Yara Sports stadium.
