Former Asante Kotoko midfielder, Jackson Owusu has made revelation about his academic background during his childhood.
According to the tough-tackling midfielder, he was weak in the classroom but found his full potential on the football field.
Owusu’s situation is no different from players like Cristiano Ronaldo who had openly revealed their weaknesses when it comes to formal education.
Speaking in an interview with Opemsuo Radio, Owusu indicated that his decision to concentrate on football has paid off immensely.
“Growing up I wanted to go to school but I realized that my head was not made for school and so I decided to concentrate more on football which has subsequently helped me to become who I am today,” he told Opemsuo radio.
The former Berekum Chelsea midfielder is currently a free agent after leaving Kenya side Gor Mahia.
He had refused to rule out a possible return to the Porcupine Warriors fold.
Reports indicate that he is being courted by several Ghana Premier League clubs.
