I want to reach the level of Messi and Pele – Kotoko’s Anim Cudjoe

Asante Kotoko attacker, Mathew Anim Cudjoe says he is working tired to emulate Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, and country men Abedi Pele and Asamoah Gyan in is football career.

Anim Cudjoe, who is making his debut in the Ghana Premier League this season, has been very impressive.

The 16-year-old has caused huge problems for defenders who have faced him, tearing them apart and setting up some important goals. It would be recalled that his artistry work won Kotoko a penalty in the last minute against Hearts in the League, which Kotoko won 2-1.

Speaking to Kotoko Express App for the Porcupines Covid-19 Lockdown Check-in, the left-footed dribbler said he was poised to become the next big thing in world football.

“I am focusing on my game,” said Anim Cudjoe. “I am training, sleeping well and following the instructions that my father [Samuel Anim Cudjoe], coaches and my teammates are giving me.

“I listen to them a lot and always try to do what they tell me to do. If God permits, I can reach the level where Lionel Messi, Abedi Pele, and Asamoah Gyan reached. That is my target.”
