Hearts striker Kofi Kordzi close to joining Qatar Stars League side Al Kharaitiyat

Hearts of Oak striker Kofi Kordzi is close to joining Al Kharaitiyat Club in the Qatar Stars League ahead of the 2020/2021 campaign, according to a Qatari publication on Wednesday.

The budding attacker has been on the radar of several clubs outside the West African country following his impressive performance in the truncated Ghana Premier League.

The report indicated that Kordzi is expected to arrive in Doha, the capital of Qatar in the coming days to finalize his switch.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that the hierarchy of the Rainbow club rejected a $200,000 deal from Qatar Second Division side Muaither Sports Club.

However, both parties failed to reach an agreement for the possible transfer of Kofi Kordzi although the player is keen on leaving the Ghanaian giants.

Kordzi scored 6 goals in 14 appearances for the Phobians before the Ghanaian top-flight was cancelled due to the coronavirus breakout.
